More Winter Reading Reviews!

Here are a few more reviews of what local patrons are reading this winter.

Tuesdays at the Castle by Jessica Day George.
Very fun book, a good fast simple read. Nothing too deep just lighthearted fun. Excellent book to curl up with on a cold winter's day.

Death of Kings by Bernard Cornwell.
A historical novel about England during the time of Alfred the Great. Cornwell's writing flows and you find it hard to put the book down. His characters are detailed and very human. I really enjoyed this book. I have read all of his other books in the series Saxon Tales.

Gideon's Corpse by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child
Gideon's Corpse is a modern day thriller that is thought provoking. Could something like this really happen? Gideon is a likable character - a reluctant hero and also a bit of a rebel. As you read, you find yourself cheering him on.

The Captive Heart by Dale Cramer
Docu-novel an Amish who settled in Mexico. Will Miriam choose Micah and stay Amish or marry Domingo, a Mexican and give up her family. Very good. Book 2 in series.
