Summer Book Reviews

Lots and lots of reading is happening in International Falls this summer. We have summer reading programs for everyone and the adult readers are encouraged to write reviews of what they are reading to share on the blog. Here are the latest received.

100 Things Twin Fans Should Know Before They Die by Alex Halsted is a very good book.

Gone by Mo Haydee. The reviewer says "The ending was a real surprise!"

Unaccustomed Earth by Jhumpa Lahiri. This is a book of 8 short stories. Very well written, a tough book to put down.

The Perfect Blend by Trish Perry. Too predictable and ordinary, but good recipes in back!

The Reading Promise by Alice Ozma. Good book!

Demonic by Ann Coulter. Reviewer says "now I know the difference between liberals and conservatives."

Lists to Live By by Alice Gray, Steve Stephens and John van Diest. Very interesting - I'm a list person too! says the reviewer

Quicksand by Iris Johansen. I love this series.

Choosing to See by Mary Beth Chapman. Wonderful book.

Medical Error by Richard Mabry. Great Book!

Pursuit of Justice by Diann Mills. Too drawn out and predictable but good.

Moon's Web by C.T. Adams and Cathy Clamp. The Sazi is a whole new twist on the supernatural I haven't seen before Quite refreshing to find new twists.

Bliss, Remembered by Frank DeFord. This was a good book and the ending made it great! The ending was totally unexpected and enjoyable.

Destined for an Early Grave by Jeaniene Frost. Another Great Night Huntress Novel.

Hit List by Laurell Hamilton. Another great Anita Blake.

This Side of the grave by Jeaniene Frost. Can't wait to check the spin off series!

Seducing the Vampire by Michele Hane. I didn't really care for this writer, although it was one of those stories you don't care for but have to know how it ends.

One Foot in the Grave by Jeanniene Frost. Good story with great humor.

Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost. A new author for me, very pleased.

Grave's End by Jeaniene Frost. Another great Night Huntress novel.

Amish Midwife by Mindy Clark. Very good Amish story with a touch of mystery!

Captive Moon by C. T. Adams and Cathy Clamp. Good story in the Sazi series. Sad to see character changes though.

A quick reminder that the last day to turn in bookmarks for the prize drawing is Friday, August 19th.
