On the Edge Film Festival

The first of what we hope will be many film festivals is in the books. We had seven great films submitted for our first year and showed them all in the course of 2 days. We are in the process of sending out prize money to the entrants.

Thank you to those who attended the showings. Get out there and make films. We'd love to see more next year!

Here is a shot of the new screen in the Backus Auditorium.

And the winners are:

Best Documentary: "The Last Days of Extraordinary Lives" directed by Randy Bacon
Viewer's Choice - Thursday night "Sweet Little Lies" directed by Joe Saunders
Viewer's Choice - Friday night "Johnny" directed by D. David Morin
Best Short Feature - "Murdoch" directed by Landon Perry
Best Student Feature - "Life of a Relationship through TXT message" directed by Rachel Adams

All of these films will eventually be added to the library collection (once we get them cataloged and covers created).

Stay tuned for the next film festival and if you are interested in making your own films contact the library for information about our film classes.
